How are you determining your location? If this is for a current location, are you running GPS with Cell fallback or Cell with GPS fallback?

Your device shows as a 9630 which is a CDMA device and Cell location probably will not work - it only works for GSM devices.

Sounds like somebody needs to be getting in touch with someone. It's funny that weatherbug, IMap, Google Maps and some other utilities on the Motorola Droid (an Android CDMA phone on Verizon's network) can do it just fine.

The Droid is a different device with a different OS. That something is available on that device doesn't make it available on older or other devices.

Is there any way to get BerryWeather 2.1 functional without a BIS connection? I know I'm in the minority, but I have no data plan. Web browsing, instant messaging apps, and other weather apps work fine, but I've been told BerryWeather is "the best!" ...I can't find out, however, because after installing it cannot find a data connection. I even tried turning on the Wifi, but still no luck.

I can confirm this. The options to enable or disable advisories in the notification area works, but the Advisory badge will show on the Homescreen icon whether option to do so is selected or not.

I just upgraded to 2.2.01 - Still no fix for this? For that matter, I cannot find a changelog or a thread anywhere listing what changes have been made. 8(

I was having the n/a issues as well with 2.1, but I didn't have to change stations. All I needed to do was click the bw icon, hit "R" and it would update every time. It was as if bw wasn't able to update on its own (sleep mode). Was this addressed? I've only been using 2.2 a short time and so far so good.

But as luck would have it, an advisory came in and sure enough so did the badge (show advisory badge box still unselected).
